Actress Melissa Mendez is breaking barriers by sharing an unfiltered and raw look of her body in a new post, emphasizing that it highlights significant moments in her life as a woman.
The 60-year-old actress shared a mirror selfie in which she wears a pink polka-dot bikini top and purple shorts and which reveals her wrinkled, sagging skin, sating it portrays her journey through motherhood, menopause and significant weight loss.

“My body. Reality. Unfiltered,” the actress began her caption. “My body has gone through a lot. It gave birth to three beautiful children who are now adults. It has weathered time as it grew older at 60. It has undergone menopause.”

Despite the body changes, Mendez stressed that she is happy and proud of how her body has endured it all.

“It has extensively undergone weight loss; thus the wrinkled, sagging, and loose skin is very evident. It has stretch marks. It is flawed. But my body isn’t complaining and grumbling. In fact, my body is proud of what it is, having survived it all. It’s happy just the way it is,” the actress concluded her post.
